Hong Kong puts UK on List of High-Risk Countries

Today (24th September 2020), Hong Kong has added the UK to its list of high-risk countries.  As a result, from the 1st October 2020, any travellers departing from the UK will be required to take a Coronavirus test within the 72-hour period before their flight to Hong Kong.  They will also be required to have a hotel room booked for 14 days, where they can self-isolate on arrival – providing they test negative for Coronavirus at the temporary testing centre at the airport.

Unfortunately, these new procedures may cause difficulties for those students from Hong Kong who have already made plans to return home for half-term in mid-October.
