On 15th April, we at Connexcel held an AEGIS event via a weblink which was very well supported with over 100 attendees from mainland China.
The parents who attended were extremely grateful to have the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns regarding the challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic and how this has or could, affect their children in terms of their education in the UK. We were delighted to note, however, that from the initial feedback gained following the event, that the webinar had achieved its aim of restoring confidence in the ability of UK boarding schools and professional guardianship agencies to keep pupils safe in the current situation. In fact, several of the attendees commented that they felt that the safety precautions put in place by schools were second to none when compared with other overseas study destinations.
With this feedback in mind and as we continue to make progress in the fight against Covid-19, we remain optimistic that levels of demand from overseas families will reach and even exceed pre-pandemic levels in the near future.
